Report written by Peter Van Tongeren
With a hint of snow in the air, there was some hesitation on both sides regarding getting out there or not... It was actually not as bad as it seemed initially, so both of us were happy we did drag ourselves out there to get on with some tasks.
No weeding etc today, the focus was on some construction work! Sounds complicated, but actually wasn't too bad - task owner Lorene was hoping for a more clearly marked compost heap, so a couple of wooden pallets were wheeled over (carefully balanced on the wheelbarrow as demonstrated by Linda) and put together around the existing heap, after a little digging about to level up the ground.
It was likely the latter part that grabbed the attention of one of the local residents, who then could just not stay away from our work, observing carefully what was going on and patiently waiting for the inevitable appearance of worms. Making sure the robin wouldn't be disappointed, we made sure at least a couple of worms disappeared into its beak.
This mornings session was rounded off with some minor repairs to the shed roof and measurements taken for further works to help seal the shed up a bit more, as discussed with Lorene - homework to be done before the next visit!

You did most of the work Buddy and you did a great job. I was happy to be your assistant and help feed our friend the Robin. 😊
