Ramon was a surprise and very welcome sign up to join Linda for todays SHP Allotment task. There were also 7 people (mixture of staff and clients) from the SHP project.

Client T wants to reuse the area where the greenhouse was as a plot for corn to be planted next year so we set about pulling up the carpet and the weed sheet from the area and clearing the bindweed roots which were lurking underneath.

On hearing someone had been pilfering form the site T then went off to harvest his squash patch while Ramon and Linda (well mostly Ramon) dug over the greenhouse area and reused the carpet/weed sheet on the open compost area and paths between the beds.

Meanwhile the other staff and clients were weeding D and R's bed clearing the way for the salad crop to thrive.

We don't have photo permissions for the SHP clients hence their faces have been covered or photos taken from the back.
