...on the other side of a thunderstorm.

For the final installation of our gardening at Eden Croft, three runners braved some very unpredictable weather to put the finish touches on Ken's front garden. On our way grey skies and drizzle threatened to put a spanner in the works but by the time we parked up, laid out our tools and put on our gloves, the sun was making its way back out from behind the clouds.

This time we tackled some smaller weeds and a few overgrown bushes to make the garden tidier and more accessible. Less than half an hour in, the skies opened up once more to remind us that we were on the clock if we wanted to avoid a proper drenching so we doubled down on our efforts. Kinga did point out that the rainfall did have the rather useful effect of softening the weeds that we were yanking out which is always a bonus. After almost two hours of hard work (and none of us particularly wanting to leave), we were satisfied that the garden was a lot clear, safer and nicer to look at in general. Working out in the open, we got a few curious looks and questions from friendly passersby but most important of all, Ken was beyond grateful for the help!

Many thanks to the Kenilworth Centre for putting us in touch and to Ken's lovely neighbour for noticing that he was in a bit of trouble.

We have quite a few similar tasks lined up and with summer fast approaching, we can only hope for sunnier and drier days!
