The parkrun community is a good example of helping eachother and today was one of those Sunday mornings when it showed. The RD scheduled, unfortunately, was unwell, and her two young adukts were to so 3 volunteer's down, & our DOE was on his DOE Hike! A quick change of role for us remaining volunteers and 4 parents of children attending meant we were good to go. we had a great warm-up routine by a parent & his 2 children which was fantastic . 15 children today enjoyed a very sunny 2K run/walk around the park, & some happy new volunteers who vowed to come back & do it again.
