A slightly flustered Ms D greeted me at the door this morning - I was running a little late (traffic on the M25...) so was hoping I wasn't the cause of her flusteredness, but (thankfully) she hadn't noticed I was late, but explained that she was having problems with her phone, and that the agents who manage the temporary flat she's in want to come in and change the cooker - to use the well worn phrase, she felt she was spinning a lot of plates...and just wants to go back home!

It was a longer than usual list, covering both sides of the scrap of paper, so took a bit of reading through, although the reverse covered her ("cheap"!) weekly tv mag, and the need for some antisceptic cream to treat a burn she'd inflicted upon herself from the cooker (which did look painful), and a toilet paper refill.

Fortunately neither the world's politest supermarket nor its staff were in any way flustered, and I soon had everything she'd asked for in two reusable bags. When I returned I sat with her phone and scrolled through various menus to try and resolve why it had stopped taking incoming calls, but after pressing all combinations of buttons, I unfortunately wasn't able to resolve the problem - she is still able to make outgoing calls, so hopefully a family member will be able to come to the rescue on her communications issues this weekend.
