7 intrepid GoodGym members took on a voyage of discovering crossing canals and main roads to get to a new task today in Hatton.

James and Iain even cycled there and back to keep up the theme of fitness.

We welcomed two new participants today as well, who bought lawn mowing skills and shifting stuff skills.

There was plenty to do including paining over a tree which due to the Depth of the colour now looks like a tree in foggy weather - we will be back to completely erase it soon.

There was decking to be scrubbed, soil to be shifted, lawns to be mowed, things to be cleaned and oranges to be squeezed.

All of these tasks were watched over by the school dog Benji.

It was great to be back at a proper task again and we can’t wait to return.

Northleigh School
A school that works with bullied children

Northleigh House School was established in 2012 to address the growing need for a safe, calm and progressive learning environment to help secondary aged children recover from the effects of high anxiety. “Knowing when to push, when to let go, what to listen to, and what to ignore - all these skills are based on the profound respect for human dignity and working to restore a sense of who they are and what they want to be. (K.B.)”: this is how we have established our learning environment. We aim to help each young person to regain their inner confidence and trust their own potential. We promote a culture where every member of the school, whether student or staff, is valued, respected and plays a vital role in the development of Northleigh's community.
