While Louise and Michael are old hands at the East End Women foodbank mission, it was Rachel's first visit there today. Make sure you give her a cheer for enhancing her Thursday!

So much had been done prior to the mission today that the terrific trio had to hunt for imPAWtent jobs to do in place of packing the usual food parcel bags.

New stuff was unpacked (when they figured out how to open the crate!), milk and biscuits unpacked and a little while spent trying to work out the identity of an unusual piece of fruit.. Rachel thought it was a Paw Paw! As you can see from the photos today it was a very colourful affair.

Keep an eye out for more visits to help this amazing charity during lockdown.

Well done everyone!

East End Women
A project supporting women with skills and training, education, loneliness and domestic abuse recovery.

East End Women offers practical courses for women to build confidence and skills around DIY, sewing, pattern cutting and basic trades. We also deliver the Freedom Programme domestic abuse recovery course, helping women to better understand the roots of domestic abuse and build confidence to identify warning signs in the future. In addition to this, East End Women also offer social activities and drop-in sessions for women experiencing isolation to meet one another, make friends and build local networks.
