I don’t think you’re ever likely to meet a bunch of people who are as enthusiastic about litter pick as this lovely lot!!!

During the winter months, we very often struggle to find tasks to accommodate us, particularly indoor tasks. This often results in us doing litter picks in the local area. Many people would tire of this, and maybe even become frustrated, but not this lovely bunch. No matter how many times we have to do a litter pick, they never lack enthusiasm, and in all honesty, I can never get them to stop at the end of the evening! they just want to keep going !!! They say that the results give them a great sense of satisfaction, which I completely understand. We can spend an hour or just over with our pickers and amass a lot of litter. Whilst this is both sad and upsetting, it’s also rewarding to know we’ve made a big difference.

Tonight, was no exception. After our brisk 2 mile walk (kindly led by Karen) in the drizzle, we set to work with our pickers. Macon Way was pretty bad and we got a big haul as usual and luckily, the rain stopped!!

Thank you Karen and Maurice. Your enthusiasm for picking up litter is just lovely, as are both of you, and as always, I loved our evening together.

If you are a charity, not a profit organisation, community group, church, or other organisation, and you are reading this report, please do bear us in mind. Every Wednesday, we spend our evening supporting a community group (with free labour essentially!). Have a look at some of our other reports to give you an idea of ways in which we might be able to help your organisation.

Have a great week everyone, and thank you as always, for being amazing.

Lots of love. Nicola Xxx
