Saturday is usually the day I visit Mrs D and today was no exception. It was a sunny afternoon today, and very warm for this time of the year, a beautiful day to cycle. Mrs D wasn't feeling very well, but perked up a bit once we got chatting. She's told me that every day when she wakes up in the morning, she thinks it's Saturday. Even more so after she'd returned from the hospital, after having had a stroke. And Saturday is the day when she gets her newspaper, with the TV programme for the following week, of course. At that time, she was still able to get out and about a bit. So, one 'Saturday' morning, she went to the local corner shop to get her newspaper. She told the man at the counter that his newspapers were outdated. The man said: No, they aren't. Mrs D said: Yes, they are!!... These days she has a digital clock, which also displays the day of the week, so there is no excuse for getting confused over the day of the week. Really funny story, thank you Mrs. D! ☺️
