WOKING GG NEWS

  • A big well done to Wayne! Who competed in the Nuts Challenge at the weekend, he came home with a few bumps and bruises but he had an awesome time. 183541

  • There are already a few people who have signed up to next years 10th anniversary Nut Challenge event - don't forget to join in and get your place.

  • Well done to Owen for taking part in the Oldbury 10 mile run race at the weekend -and what a cracking pace!!

  • This weekend I am taking part in the Woking aquathlon at Woking park this sunday... There is the triathlon going on too, come on down its a great spectators event too, especially finishing with laps around Woking Park - the cheer is needed!

  • Florent will be heading to London this weekend to attempt to run back to Woking... around 40km in total! Enjoy, and have a great Holiday in Canada!

BROCKHILL CARE HOME

Back to our old stomping ground of Brockhill care home... so much care and love has gone into this care home from Woking GoodGym members. What we have done so far: * Painting the receptions area and corridors * Trusting us with window frames to paint * Painting the dining room * Gardening residents planting areas * Weeding and clearing patio areas * Sanding and Painting outdoor furniture

They are always so happy to have us, and we are always so happy to be there. Tonight was no different, we were back outside...maybe for the last time. You can tell Summer is coming to an end, there was a chill in the air! Back to what we started of sanding down the garden benches and painting them back up to look like new!

It's great to see some friendly faces back from their Summer Holidays looking sun kissed. Welcome back to Rebecca, who has been away for most of the Summer! Florent is off on his travels next week so we will be missing him for a couple of weeks!

*Brockhill is always a lovely run down the canal and back... but as the evenings are getting darker please remember a head torch for the way home. *

NEXT WEEK

Finishing off at the allotment - more work is needed and to tidy it up for the Winter. Remember to sign up on the website!
