Thankfully it wasn't curtains for me today, albeit a few moments when balanced somewhat precariously on a piece of Mrs N's furniture to reach an awkward hook did make me wonder...

Another familiar mission where the description sounded more straightforward than the practice, but mainly because unhooking or de-wiring(?) curtains that haven't been unhooked or de-wired in a long whilst just takes a bit of time and a lot of persistence.

Mrs N had four rooms of curtains she wanted dropping, of which three room had both net and heavy material versions, so by the end of today's mission I was fairly proficient at threading wires and hanging curtain tape onto plastic hooks whilst (mostly) standing on a small stepladder. Even though the clock was ticking well into the redzone, I was determined to get the whole job done rather than have Mrs N arrange another volunteer visit. With the bathroom net finally complete, we both breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Just as I was leaving, Mrs N asked if I could also replace her hallway light bulb - this sounded far more straightforward than what had just gone on before, and I was happy to get back on the step ladder one more time to give her more light.
