Much of today’s task was clearing some space in the lovely Ms L’s spare room to put her bed in there for a few days. This will mean that hard flooring can be fitted and the hoist she needs to get her into bed due to her MND can be fitted.

I did some watering too but rather fear that it was too late for many of the plants on her very sunny balcony - the salvia looks nothing like the one pictured now - it did last autumn, and the hosta is no more.

We also chatted a lot, this always feels as important as the tasks I carry out - her health is deteriorating rapidly and, understandably, she is getting very frustrated about it.
