Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Karen Meade
Karen visited the Baby Bank to help sort donated clothing so it can be given to families in need. They had so many bags to sort through that they have had to temporarily stop all clothing donations. Karen and the other volunteers worked on finding and first checking the most needed items from the huge piles of bags. The piles definitely reduced during the morning but it is always an uphill task, but enjoyable. .
The Baby Bank collects donations of good quality clothes, equipment, and furniture to help families in extreme need. They provide essentials ranging from everyday items like nappies, and wipes to larger items like cots. They support families beyond the baby stage, for example with school uniform. They aim to give all children the best possible start in life.
