Five goodgymers went to Southwark food bank this morning to help sort donations.

Rebecca and Philippa were soon whisked away downstairs to check the best before dates on some biscuits. Gillian and Emma sorted donations into categories while I took in donations from outside and helped weigh them.

There was too much to get through in one morning, but we achieved more than the regulars could have done alone!

Helping local people in crisis

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
