Only as Mr D and I eased the completed TV cabinet against his preferred wall did he admit that he'd measured out exactly the unit and knew it would fit perfectly along the wall he'd chosen...because up until that point, as today's IKEA TV cabinet slowly came together in a flurry of metal frames, brackets, drawers, magnetic doors and a mighty collection of different sized screws, nuts and bolts, I was truly wondering where exactly he would want the finished unit shuffled to, and whether it would actually fit...
