On 7 September, six Goodgymmers and Ted the ever-enthusiastic mascot made their way to Brickfields park in Twerton to help prepare an area of the park for wildflower planting. The recent dry weather made the task of removing turf somewhat challenging but everyone got stuck in, with levels of success ranging from perfect squares (Meyrick) to questionable root hacking (Jane). By the end of the session we had created a pleasing Dalmatian-pattern of bare patches, ready for seeding. Next spring there should be some beautiful blooms, attracting all sorts of wildlife to the park.

Preparing Brickfields Park for wildflower meadows!
We need a team of people to come and help remove turf to prepare an area of Brickfields Park for wildflower planting and sowing.

Your Park Bristol & Bath work with communities around both cities to help them to access their park for the benefit of people and the environment.
