Mr J was quite touched that I had remembered that today was his birthday - I’ took a small present and card. His present to himself was a new shopping trolley. I’d done the research on the ones available in Deptford during the last couple of weeks and it was this morning’s first purchase. As for the rest it was a fairly standard shop.
