Report written by Rachael (GoodGym Barnsley)
3 runners enjoyed a laidback litter pick near the town centre this evening.
It was the Honeys in Honeywell today, with Rachael's sister Sarah joining in with a Group Run for the first time. Great going! We ran with regular runner James to the streets around Honeywell for a relaxed litter pick around the area (and well done to James who ran the Sheffield 101010 at the weekend). We were even thanked by a couple of passing pedestrians - it's nice to see that efforts made are appreciated, no matter how small they seem to be.
We took our time filling each bag with as much litter we could, then enjoyed a steady run back up to base, where we stretched out the muscles and said goodbye for another week. Thanks guys!
Our next Group Run will take us back to Age UK Barnsley - for a lovely indoor task! Running at 6.30pm on Wednesday 16th; sign up here.
