Shifting compost in the pallet area at the SHP Allotment got us severely told off by some angry squirrels who had been using it to store their walnuts. The little mouse family in the kitchen waste area were not to happy at being moved a bit and having their habitat dampened down. Mindful of the fact that these little creatures are assisting us in churning up the compost we were kind to our furry friends, we left their nuts where they could be easily found and re-hidden, and were very careful pottering around the mouse house.

We followed on with a little weeding and resiting of some california poppies, then it was time to pack up.
