FINALLY! A beautiful summer's evening for us to enjoy, no base layer, no jacket, no leggings required and a lovely 5km run to boot.

Jo and AA Yianny met at Papa's and set off a bit earlier so we could have a few more minutes at the Kennington Park Centre for our gardening task. Sadly there is no way to avoid the slightly smoggy feel when the temparature heats up but by cutting through the park and flower garden we at least managed to get clear of that for a little bit.

Marie-Noelle and Paul arrived on their bikes and we met Kojo who showed us around the children's garden and handed out tools for us to get cracking chopping back the overgrown areas. We also had Flora cycle down for a first session back in a little while which was great!

Our main task was chopping things back or down, clearing it away and making sure that the children could see a big foxhole which has been dug so they don't go falling into it.

By 8pm we had cleared a big area and also had time to have a quick go on the play equipment :0) and so we split into cyclists and runners to make our way back to Brixton or home.

Big thanks to all and to Kojo for hosting us and see you next time!

Make the wonderful outside space useable by clearing the stingers

They run a free pre school stay and play 4 mornings a week. The local twin club would love to use the space but it’s not possible with the garden as is so they are nominating them. Both are not for profit volunteer run organisations
