This evening's group run was special for many reasons!

We welcomed back Jodie after a long absence through injury and it was her first run back since...you did great, hope you're not too sore tomorrow!

We were lucky to welcome two new members to the group Karen and Nick. Please support them and give them a cheer! They are brilliant new additions and we can't wait to see you guys in the New Year. Hopefully your T-shirts will arrive for you to wear on Christmas day! Well done for also getting your documents checked. Hopefully we can get you paired up and also on missions!

The lovely Grace hit 15 good deeds, which is a great achievement! We want more!

We also managed to team up with Franco Manca, who are running a campaign to donate pizzas to good causes....so after e-mailing back and forth we managed to get 10 pizzas donated....well so I thought...we all turned up at our local branch but the message had not been passed on! After a little confusion and realsing we didn't actually want a table for 11 people etc the guys got on it and started to make up 10 pizzas for us. We used our time wisely of course...went for a run through the gardens and took pictures in front of the brightly coloured trees and decorations....not sure my phone did your beautiful people justice....should have taken more with Nick's phone!! Went along the prom with a gale force wind pushing us along...and a gentle drizzle...then we headed up through the zig zag to avoid the wind....hung out by the toilets like dodgy teenagers to regroup. With our pizza making time up we headed back to town...just in time for a massive downpour to drench us...

But the gang stayed strong. We collected 4 pizzas and started to run the streets in search for those less fortunate and soon found plenty of people. One team ran an extra couple km to a car park and found some rough sleepers there. After each group had delivered their pizza we headed back to Franco Manca to collect the remaining pizzas.

After a quick team talk we decided on the next most optimal street and inside of 10 minutes had found a good home for our last 5 pizzas.

It was a great way to end 2018. We did something nice for those less fortunate in our community, hung out with like minded people, did some exercise in the outdoors and had a great time!! Aaaaaaand we managed a selfie with an image of the selfie king Lee! Hope Brazil is treating you well!

Well done all of you for making a difference tonight. We are back on the 9th January with a run to the Foodbank. Sign up here

Have a great holiday everyone and see you in 2019!
