Report written by Tom Mutton
Stunning Steven, Gorgeous Grace & Courageous Kim met at Shaw Lane Sports Center and headed straight out on the road to the Carers garden on a 'lumpy' route up to the Metradome.
On arrival we were met by head gardener of the carers garden Glorious Gordon who had tools and tasks at the ready for us. This week we were helping to clear the rear of the Carers garden which had become overgrown and unusable.
We got straight to it raking, sweeping and filling green bags with overgrowth and dead leaves. It was a clean sweep! Steve went potty with the pots stacking them high and moving them far.
With a huge amount of clearing done we rounded up the tools to return to Gordon and even had time for some;
Gordon really appreciated the help with the work with limited willing volunteers still involved in the garden and some ill health holding Gordon back. We will be back to help this great project once again.
Until next time, happy running!
