No, it is not the start of a joke.

The Redbridge mutual aid could do with a helping hand to move a foodbank from a church in Woodford to a sports centre near Ilford. So Goodgym stepped up. Two teams were organised, with Kathryn & myself meeting at Ray Lodge to help load up and Linda, James & Julia meeting us at the other end to help unload. As with all good plans, something was bound to go slightly different than expected - today was no exception!

The foodbank team was very well organised and some had an early start, so when we arrived, most of the cargo was already waiting in the car park! The vans were loaded in no-time at all, so with nothing else to do there we set off, arriving at Fenford centre about 20 mins ahead of schedule. A quick message & attempted phone call to the rest of the team to let them know was followed by what we came there for - unloading the vehicles. With some helping hands from people at the centre we had everything unloaded by the time the rest of the GG team showed up!

All that was left for them was a little catch-up and for Julia to do some networking with Genevieve from the Mutual Aid / foodbank team - sounded like there might be some more collaborations coming up in the future!
