The afternoon shift offered the AZ vaccine, mainly the second jab for over 40s.
Alfie was at the start of the process, managing the car park entrance and Lynn was at the end of the process in the tent. Tracy managed the standing waiting-room and I did gel & 20 questions at the door.
(Meanwhile, Sir kept us hydrated with tea.)

I arrived and Alfie was at the front door welcoming and giving hand gel to all the new victims, whoops I mean people to be vaccinated. As the cohort was young they didn't have the luxury of sitting down in chairs but had to follow the x's around the room. One patient decided to call the first queuing room as level 1. The queue in the corridor was level 2 and the vaccine room level 3. If you survived level 3 you went to sit in the tent which was level 4. It was busy with the younger age groups mostly pleased to get their jabs. It was so busy that Alfie and I never saw each other for the rest of our shift.

Today's GG vaccination team comprised of Alfie, Vicki & John. Alfie & John were both on front of house duties with Alfie taking temperatures and John manning the car park.
The day had started off very wet and windy but luckily the rained had ceased by the time the patients started to arrive. The wind still persisted for the remainder of the morning but I think that helped volunteers on outside duties dry off quickly.
Vicki was tasked with with duties in the very noisy and windy marquee. Fortunately the marquee is now securely fasten to the ground after nearly being blown away in last weeks very high winds.
Vicki kept her patients entertained by asking lots of questions about what they would be getting up to in this afternoon. I believe the most popular answers were shopping and watching a movie.
A bit later Vicki spotted a snail making it's way from the back door towards the entrance. Still in questioning mode Vicki asked Sid The Snail it if it was here for it's vaccination. We believe the response was 'No comment' and it was swiftly moved out of harms way.
The target for today's clinic was about 160 vaccinations and although it seemed a little slow at times the numbers seemed to add up.

Alfie Macer earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Alfie completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Alfie was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.
