Our oldest and most popular task!
Vauxhall Foodbank provide short term food support to families and individuals in crisis. We help them out by sorting food collected from local supermarkets into categories and making sure it is correctly weighed. This task is the dream for all lovers of neatness and order. Feel the calm wash over you as all the tins get sorted and put away. The work we do here would take the voluntary staff hours to do by themselves. It was an incredibly heart warming day at the centre, where our team had the privilege of helping many members of our community access essential resources. Seeing the genuine smiles and ensuring every individual and family could leave with food for their homes made all the hard work feel meaningful.

Today, we were made to feel like part of VGCC core volunteers team. We were certainly needed, as there was plenty to do, such as unloading, unpacking, sorting, counting , storing, cutting and packing away several food deliveries.

We had an amazing day! The delivery came exactly on time, and now we're excited to unpack the food for our wonderful customers tomorrow.
