It was nice to be back at VCG, delivery was early this time but there wasn't much so we sorted what we could, portioned mac and cheese and artisan bread. Then had a well deserved cup of tea.

The delivery driver was late so we occupied ourselves with cutting cheese (not a euphemism) and wrapping them in cling film then promptly u loaded the truck on arrival and sorted and stored fresh produce in the fridge. Good session as usual.

Another productive morning spent with the lovely staff at the community centre, I arrived shortly after the delivery, sorted veg and meat in crates and stored everything in the fridge ready for donations on friday.

I arrived at the location earlier than planned and got to chat with the person who runs the foodbank, he showed me around the premises and got me started on a sorting task. I also met a fellow volunteer who is a regular at this location and she helped me with my tasks. We helped unload the delivery van, sorted items in crates, took them to storage and to the fridge and prepped washing liquid bags, all ready for the next day. It was a friendly atmosphere and we got a lot done, I hope to go there again.

I arrived and the other volunteers were hard at work on preparing chutney for individual use. I was put to work on making sure we had 1 kg bags of rice. I was just finished with making 30 bags when the delivery showed up. It was a big'un! Thanks to the generosity of city harvest for making sure the clients are happy on Friday
