On arrival to the centre, we packed eggs in multiple sized boxes for different sized families. The Felix project van arrived moments later wit a large delivery of fruit and veg which we promptly put away in the fridge. We then spent the rest of the session slicing squash and watermelon and wrapped them in cling film, ready for Friday's distribution. All in all good session and great work by everyone

Received deliveries from City Harvest and Tesco and took stock for this Friday's customers.

James and I successfully completed the necessary preparations for our upcoming Friday service. We processed the scheduled deliveries from both City Harvest and Tesco, which included pasta, chicken, and assorted vegetables. All items were unpacked, sorted, and securely stored to ensure we are fully ready for Friday's customers.

Despite the pouring rain, two Goodgymers braved the wet weather to help out at the Vauxhall Gardens Community Centre foodbank. Rain or shine, our commitment to community doesn't stop! Spirits remained high, especially when we met a customer rocking the ultimate waterproof setup, complete with a brilliant, handmade newspaper hat. A wonderful reminder that a bit of imagination and resourcefulness can brighten even the gloomiest Friday afternoon.

GoodGymers joined the brilliant core team at Vauxhall Gardens Foodbank, helping to serve and support the local community. With over 100 customers coming through, it was another busy session and a real team effort.

Distribution runs from 12 noon to 3pm, and it’s a huge job, so we ideally need volunteers who can stay for the whole session. If you’re free on one of the upcoming days, or have flexible working and can spare a few hours, your help would be very much appreciated.
