All the fun of the fair

Today at Parkinson's Cricket, Alex set up a "coconut shy" on the stage, with balls balanced on cones for the players to knock off. Everyone then formed a circle and practised throwing and catching with different sized balls in different directions. They finished off with bowling at a wicket, which kept me very busy collecting all the balls.

On a bender

Tracey and Gwyn met the gang at DCF's Parkinson's Cricket. We started by bending cahirs back into shape, then had a throwing game targeted at cones and progressed to bowling at stumps in coned zones. A session of chatting, tea and biscuits finished a good morning.

Line and Length

A few new faces and a lot of old chums at Parkinson's Cricket today. The focus was on bowling, firstly concentrating on line, and then on length. I was kept busy collecting the balls that were enthusiastically bowled, and managed only to be in the line of fire once.

Everyone enjoyed the session, especially the tea and biscuits at the end.

Tracey and Gwyn were happy to be at DCF's Monday Mates, after big delays at St Pancras the previous day. It was god to meet old and new friends there. We had a seated exercise session and an interesting quiz as well as the usual activities.
