Today at Parkinson's Cricket, Alex set up a "coconut shy" on the stage, with balls balanced on cones for the players to knock off. Everyone then formed a circle and practised throwing and catching with different sized balls in different directions. They finished off with bowling at a wicket, which kept me very busy collecting all the balls.

A few new faces and a lot of old chums at Parkinson's Cricket today. The focus was on bowling, firstly concentrating on line, and then on length. I was kept busy collecting the balls that were enthusiastically bowled, and managed only to be in the line of fire once.
Everyone enjoyed the session, especially the tea and biscuits at the end.

We had an extra celebration at Parkinson's Cricket today: R's big birthday. After the cricket, there was a cake and drinks, and a speech by R with interesting reminiscences.
