Was very impressed at what was happening at the site, even though it was a small space. Was pleasantly surprised at the positive action of the group to make green living the norm. Was warmly welcomed.

It was good to be back at the community garden with some familiar faces. Jorge brought his family along with loads of snacks for us. (Much appreciated after parkrun).
Some of us lined the raised bed with wood chips, others assembled the strawberry planter and the rest of us planted some trees around the boundary of the plot.
Luckily the sun was shining for us and we were all smiles throughout the task.

Just a couple of us today, joining Jorge who organises Greener & Cleaner's community garden. It's still in the process of being set up so our jobs today revolved around setting up some planters - or actually one massive planter!
Jorge explained his plans for the growing bed, but we through a few extra ideas into the mix and in the end decided on a very accessible shape to reach whatever will be growing in it
We were sawing up the sleepers, screwing them together and leveling the ground, testing the mind as much as our muscles. Lovely stuff.
And shout out to Paula for attending her first GG session 🥳

6 super GoodGymers came out last night for some lifting, shifting and switching to make the Greener & Cleaner Community Hub store room a much more logical and tidy space.
Tamasin from the Hub even provided some delicious warm apple juice to sweeten the deed.
Nice work, team 👍

Thanks to Alan and Laura for the title inspiration!
We had a lovely bunch this morning helping to get Greener And Cleaner's Community Garden set up. Laura arrived fresh from parkrun and David signed up last minute which was a nice surprise!
The garden is gradually taking shape and today we were tasked with the job of "laying the carpet" - removing weeds and putting down a load of woodchip by the shed.
Alan started off however by transferring a big container of water into the water butt using buckets before joining the rest of us troweling out weeds. Laura tuned into the sound of robin's - a nice accompaniment to our weeding.
Once that was done, we flattened it down - Alan had a neat Pac-Man style shuffle going on. Then we filled up wheelbarrows with woodchip and spread it over the now flatter patch of ground.
Great work, team! 💪
