Tracey and Gwyn were at Forest Rec junior parkrun and met the friendly group once more. It was Gwyn's CCCCth session of parkrun volunteering. We were both marshals and then eaters of breakfast!

It was another Sunday morning in hi-viz for three GoodGymers helping out at Forest Rec Junior parkrun. And we were much needed as 111 youngsters ran and walked to the finish boosted by a takeover from Haydn Primary School. Task Force members Leah and Rachel were also spotted trying to keep up with their respective young ones!

Marshalling around the 2km course were Elspeth and Tracey (who had crossed the border from GG Derby - was great to see you!) whilst Peter was given the responsibility of barcode scanning.

All passed off incident free and volunteer and GoodGym credits awarded

Peter was in the junior parkrun hi-viz at marshal point number 5 as 43 runners and walkers ( not counting their "responsible" adults) made their way around the 2km course.

It was also good to see green returning to the grass at Forest Rec.

On a (thankfully) cooler morning Elspeth and Peter put on the Junior parkrun hi-viz at Forest Rec.

Three GoodGymers made their way down to Forest Rec to help out at this weeks Junior parkrun. Elspeth and Peter donned their yellow hi-viz and collected their arrows and cones to marshall around the two lap 2km course. Rachel meanwhile, put on the orange hi-viz, ears and tail for the important role of "tail" walker, brilliantly assisted by daughter Nefeli. 27 enthusiastic runners and walker made it round and Peter reached his 25 volunteer milestone. Just goes to show, not all heroes wear capes!

Gwyn and Tracey met up with our chums at Forest Rec junior parkrun and enjoyed encouraging the sixteen children (and a few accompanying adults) in their two-lap run of the field.

Gwyn was timekeeper, and Tracey marshalled at puddle corner. We had a nice warm drink in Homemade cafe with the other volunteers afterwards.
