On a near-Solstice evening, this wonderful group made a special difference at Adelaide Community Garden!
Nestled behind an unremarkable gate — just a short stroll from Chalk Farm — sits a beautiful (and seemingly endless) stretch of lush allotments.
And this crew got stuck straight into emptying, bagging, and spreading one of Adelaide's four giant compost heaps!
Thank you, everyone — and a particular BIG welcome to Yasmin!

10 GoodGymers dodge the Wednesday rain to make a big difference in Camden!
This was our second time in two weeks at Kentish Town's Greenwood Centre and it was a much chillier occasion than last Wednesday's heat soaked evening!
Not that that deterred this lovely group of active altruists!
Together they got stuck straight in and made light work of an ambitious project!
Having filled umpteen sandbags, cut a giant hole in a pot, and positioned a sun-loving tree, this group proceeded to stack the sandbags in neat (yet creative) uniformity, leaving an installation fit for Chelsea!
Thank you, everyone!

11 GoodGymers ride the heat wave and lift all the heavy things!
The new Triangle Site Community Garden is the latest project from the (wonderful) Global Generation team.
Set on a quiet side road off busy York Way in King's Cross, the Triangle is a permanent community garden that has been built from the ground up by volunteers, gardeners, builders, and more. It is haven for sustainable building and growing, and you should definitely visit!
This group arrived primed and ready to lift and move and repeat, which is what they did splendidly!
Our task started and ended at a large storage container sat right by the busy train tracks heading in and out of King's Cross, and we...
...emptied everything, including scary-looking machinery, crates upon crates upon crates, and many copies of Good Woodworking, and then we...
...carried umpteen planks of heavy wood into the container and organised them into perfect Jenga towers, and finally we...
...waved to many trains and received a few hearty waves in return!
Thank you, everyone!!
And a big thank you to Ariane, Emily, and Ralf for the wonderful photos!
