On Saturday 17 October, two GoodGymers helped out at Barking parkrun
Ginormous well done to Prabir for completing their first ever session with GoodGym B&D, and an equally humungous well done to Meenakshi for completing their 3rd session, and visiting their first ever Barking parkrun event.
Both GoodGymers even got a mention on the Barking parkrun website here
Meenakshi and Prabir were volunteer marshals, taking up locations around the course to guide event participates in the right direction, keeping them safe and - most importantly - whooping, cheering and generally keeping motivated!
Meenakshi commented - "what an inspiring event, I mean did you see the guy complete it in crutches? Everyone is so friendly, I want to run it next time. I'd normally be at the gym on a Saturday morning but this is way better".
Prabir added - **"it was very good, ideal for me. I work 8 hours a day in front of a computer and this sort of physical activity is good for my back!" **
