🌞 Why It Matters
parkrun was founded by Paul on 2 October 2004 at Busy Park in London. Suffering from depression and carrying an injury, Paul wanted a simple, gentle way to keep active and meet people. 22 years later, there are now parkruns at over 900 locations in 30 countries with over 4m people having taken part supported by over 500k volunteers.
Barking parkrun is positive, welcoming and inclusive, there is no time limit and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along. You can check out the route here
👋 Who You’ll Meet
Lots of people - around 200 event participants and 20 volunteers
Come along for a relaxed and friendly morning of volunteering – no experience needed, just bring your energy and community spirit!
We hope to see you there!!

This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
GoodGym is a community of people that get fit by doing good. We run, walk and cycle to do practical tasks for community organisations and isolated older people.
