We couldn’t have started tonight‘s task in a nicer way, than walking around our lovely Queens Park. It was a lovely light (but definitely not warm!) spring evening and the park was busy with families, people walking their dogs, runners and strollers. The Park had a lovely atmosphere to it. it was a really nice walk and lovely to catch with ** Karen and Maurice**.
Once we'd finished our walk, we headed out with our ** Junior parkrun** leaflets and set to work in dropping them through doors. We want to let as many people as we can know about this fantastic free event that takes place every Sunday in Queens Park at 9am for 4-14 year olds.
Since we’ve been delivering these leaflets, junior parkrun has had a regular stream of first timers each week. I’m not entirely sure that we can take all the credit for this, but it’s nice to think we may have played a part ;)
In total, we clocked up 6.4 km tonight between our walk and leafleting! Not bad going!
Well done, Karen and Maurice. You did an awesome job tonight!!
Have a fab week!
Lots of love Nicola xx

As always, we felt very blessed this evening to have a nice sunny dry evening to enjoy our walk together! Considering the days of dreadful weather we had in the run-up today, we considered ourselves very lucky not to experience either rain, wind, hail or sleet!!
Maurice and Nicola set out from Motherwelland did a brisk circular walk, taking in a lap of Queens Park. It was so nice to walk around the park in the daylight and see people out enjoying the park and its surroundings. We stopped for a couple of photos on the bridge, enjoying the warm sun and admiring the swans!! We never run out of things to talk about and tonight was no exception.
Back at the task, we had the job of sorting out dozens of bras, lol! I take my hat off to Maurice, he never complains about a task, he always just gets stuck in no matter what. Thank you Maurice for being such a great sport! We managed to get through a good chunk of them, but unfortunately not all with their only being two of us.
We had a good laugh as we worked and it was certainly a good eye test! I think both of us realised that glasses were really in order for this job!
As always, it’s a delight to support this wonderful charity and all the amazing work they do for our community.
Thanks for being a community legend Maurice!!
Have a great week.
Lots of love Nicola xxxx

What a lovely evening spent with lovely people - the norm when out with my lovely Goodgym friends.
Once again, we were blessed with good weather... especially after so much rain in the days preceding tonight‘s task.
Tonight was an extra special night, as the lovely Kat was celebrating her birthday! What a true Goodgym die hard to come and spend her birthday night leafleting with us lot!!! You are a legend Mrs Arnold!!
Kat, Hazel, Maurice, Phil & Nicola started the evening with a brisk circular walk from the Sherborne bungalows down past the cemetery and back up and through the estate to our task starting point. We put the world to rights as always - tonight’s main topic of conversation being potholes and brown bin charges!
The lovely Hazel greeted us and told us all about our task for the evening. Tonight we were delivering leaflets to the estate to promote a Police drop in for residents of the estate. We managed to get all the leaflets done that we needed to and we really hope that the clinics have lots of uptake. And thank goodness we had Hazel to guide us around the estate! I think we’d still be there now if it wasn’t for you Hazel!!!
To celebrate Kats birthday, we headed off to the chippy once we’d finished our task, for some birthday chips! It was lovely to stand outside eating our chips still in the daylight! I do love spring!!!
Well done, everyone on another amazing task achieved. And Kat, we hope you enjoy the rest of your birthday!
And finally, a shout out to some of our regulars who couldn’t make it this evening. You were very much missed.
Have a great week, everyone.
Lots of love Nicola xxxxx

It was a blustery Saturday morning, but that didn’t stop five Goodgym diehards from rocking up to do a stint of Parkrun volunteering at their local Crewe Parkrun.
We all undertook various rolls . Karen was volunteer coordinator and timekeeper , Emily was token sorting,Kat, was barcode scanning, Maurice was parkwalking and token, sorting, and Nicolawas funnel manager.
As always, it was a lovely morning spent at Crewe parkrun. In fact, we had such a good time that we forgot to take a photograph.... so I’ve added an old one!!!
We missed you, Nigel!!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone. Lots of love xxx

Tonight was one of those rare evenings, where there were only two of us. Small in number we were, but small in effort we weren’t!! Karen and Nicola walked over 3 miles while delivering leaflets for Junior parkrun this evening. We didn’t get them finished last week, so we happily carried on with them for tonight‘s task
It was a great night to be out because now that the clocks have gone forward, it was lighter for longer and we even finished in the daylight for the first time this year!!
We got a good chunk of the leaflets delivered, all while having lots of lovely chats, fresh air and exercise. What’s not to love?
Last week, there were seven first timers at Junior parkrun - we’d like to credit Goodgym for that as a result of our leafleting last week! Lol! Joking aside, I hope that the leafleting has had some impact and that there will be lots more first time next Sunday too!!
Nigel we hope your shoulder is feeling a bit better and Maurice, we hope you’re having a lovely time on your walk.
A good job done and a good evening had. Thank you for your lovely company Karen
Lots of love . Nicola xxxx
