An amazing new partnership with the Shoreditch Trust!!
We pick up parcels from the Waterhouse Restaurant at 11:20 and route will take around an hour to deliver about 10 parcels. Ruck sacks and panniers would be helpful!
We will be delivering food parcels to members of our community who are seriously ill, recovering from a stroke or usually rely on carers family or friends because they are unable to prepare food themselves. cannot safely visit a food bank because of mobility problems, risks to their health or risks to someone they provide care for. are without friends and family to drop off shopping. are homeless, and living in temporary accommodation with no kitchens, or shared facilities which are unsafe for them to use.
We really need your help to make these deliveries so be great to have you along!! Best ways to get about on the delivery routes will be walking or bikes! Might get a bit messy running!! We will get routes the day before and will pair you up with another GoodGymer or 2.
If you would like to be in pair group with someone in particular let me know at joel@goodgym.org. Once we have pairs sorted I will open up listing to allow groups of 3. If you would prefer to do delivery solo just let me know.
Any problems on the day message me (Joel) on 07895628708.

Packing Piles of Presents
One of the charities close to Dans heart is the Magpie Project, so with Christmas approaching the idea was to collect lots of little presents and bits to give to the kids, on behalf of 'Santa'.
The word went out in the local communities, lots of people responded, to the point of almost overwhelming the organisers, but working together the team of rugby players & local mums & goodgymmers got an incredible amount sorted and wrapped and packed - bags full of toys are ready to be send out!
Several boxes of books will be finding their way to a hospital, while clothing will be sorted and bagged up for an upcoming project in January.
Thanks very much for all the help, both receiving and sorting as wrapping & labeling!

assisting the Elfs to pack things up for Santa

PLEASE NOTE - MORE DETAILS CONFIRMED - starting at 10 till 2, feel free to pop in at any time!
Players from Bancroft Rugby Club are busy collecting toys & kids books to support the Magpie Project (Newham) and cheer up the kids with some (unexpected) christmas presents in these difficult times. But of course these items will need to get wrapped up and coded & listed, so the Magpie team knows what is what, but the receiving kids have no clue.
Dan has been busy sorting out a CV-19 safe setup of drop off point & sorting tables in the car park and a packing area inside - helping hands needed everywhere!
Rumour has it that there might be glu-wein and perhaps some minced pies as refreshments...

Jo just completed a six month streak of doing missions. That’s so many bags of garden rubbish cleared and jobs done to help someone out and put a smile on their face. Give Jo a cheer to encourage them to keep up the good work.
