Story written by Jacob Harriss (He/Him)
2026 has been a big year for GoodGym. We crossed 70 active areas including the launch of Edinburgh, our first area in Scotland. Ivo Gormley, Founder of GoodGym left his role as CEO, replaced by the very capable Hannah Crane, and we launched the Future Leader programme aimed at getting the most isolated and lonely generation (18-25 year olds) involved with exercise and volunteering.
In such a year, there will be countless stories and possible nominations for the judging panel to choose from. This is your chance to put someone forward who you believe deserves recognition. Someone who has gone above and beyond in their community, whose dedication has made a meaningful impact to the people and places where you live, or whose kindness and commitment has inspired others to achieve great things.

The Sean Coxhead Inspiring Individual Award is named in memory of Sean Coxhead, a GoodGymer who passed away in 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. This award celebrates members of the community that continue his legacy, showing Impact, Dedication, Kindness and an ability to Overcome Adversity.
