Stop by at the scenic Cooley's Meadow on your run, walk or bike ride to help Wild Eton Wick with some hedgerow planting. This is part of a project to increase biodiversity in the area, and what better time to do it than during National Tree Week?
Do bring your gardening gloves and be prepared for it to be muddy underfoot. You needn't stay for the full three hours if you have other commitments.
Of course you are encouraged to use the power of your legs to get to Cooley's Meadow and home again, but if you do need to drive there is some on street parking in Bunce's Close. There are also some wonderful footpaths and cycle paths nearby if you fancy a pre or post-task leg stretch.
One of our regular task owners Parvaaz has asked for our help at their new premises in Taplow
They need help with cutting back the grass and giving the garden a general tidy up.
We will meet at the retail park on Bath Rd (where Nike, Tesco is… meet outside Nike store), then walk or jog down to the house.
It is a short 1km distance each way. We can take a slightly longer route along the A4 as well.
Please meet at 6:30pm note, it’s a slightly later start time in order to give everyone time to get there
Bring gardening gloves
We were back to one of our regulars tonight, Wexham Park Hospital to do an outdoor task - The good old litter pick..
The litter pick is a relatively easy task to learn... you just pick it up as you go along!
So after our warm up off we jogged to the hospital to get started on the task.
Masking your feelings
Ciggie butts used to be the vein of our lives here however they have now been replaced by face masks!
They were litterally everywhere!
Tonights main haul was however, Wagamamas! It was bang bang!
Fortyfive minutes in and we had filled a bagful of rubbish.
Thank you for attending tonight. Next weeks task is with Slough Refugee Centre helping to finish off their garden space.
