Crunch time at Talk Listen Change!

Trafford Report written by Kate Frain

A night of firsts!

Well, that was a success! 13 lovely runners pounded the streets of Trafford on our longest ever Goodgym run - Well done everyone!

Along with that not one but TWO members of the fab charity TLC came and ran with us. What legends!

We were also joined for the first time since launch by one of our fab Goodgym colleagues from that there fancy London - Emma! Thanks for joining us 

Lastly and possibly most importantly we were presented with biscuits, another GG Trafford first AND they were ginger nuts (king of all biscuits).

We assembled at our usual haunt of St Matthews Hall in plenty of time at 6.30 and shared news about our planned parkrun takeover on 29th Feb and also Manchester 10K being in the "BIG SIX" Goodgym race calendar. It's all going off!!

After we'd warmed up we set off and ran together to the old TLC offices.

At TLC: Talk, Listen, Change all our work is focused on helping the people of Greater Manchester to have safe, healthy, happy relationships. We deliver counselling and therapy to individuals, families and couples and children from age 5 upwards, domestic abuse services (we specialise in working with perpetrators) and community programmes.

Once we'd all assembled at the offices we were introduced to TLC and the task in hand which was to clean three offices ready for handover.

Divided into three crack teams with cleaning products in hand (and biscuits in the other) we set to and scrubbed the place from top to bottom.

We finished up feeling pleased with our progress and said our cheerios setting on our way back to St Matthews whilst having a right good old chinwag!

On our arrival back we stretched off and chatted about our task for next week for Longford Centre.

Big shout out to newbies (and task owners):
