Join us as we sweep, weed, plant and tidy the St Werburg's Community Farm Gardens this spring.
Meet by the lovely open access community garden situated near the community farm on Mina Road. If you get lost, look out for the giant cockerel sculpture!
Five GoodGymers met on a rainy and windy Wednesday morning at Windmill Hill City Farm to help out.
Today’s task involved digging out and tidying the path around the middle paddock.
We even managed to have a sneak peak at the baby goats! Was a lovely morning seeing everyone and the animals whilst doing something good :) well done guys!
Five GoodGymers visited Windmill Hill City farm this chilly Wednesday morning.
We all took part in finding rocks, sticks and wood in the middle paddock and removing these items in order to make the environment safe for animals.
It was lovely seeing the animals this morning and also nice to be outside and chatting to fellow volunteers whilst doing good in the commuity. Well done everyone :)
Danielle completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Danielle was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.
Danielle is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.
Are you finding it hard to motivate yourself in the morning? Come and join us for a midweek morning dose of goodness at Windmill Hill City Farm. Early morning, fresh air, walking/running/cycling (or however else you travel), volunteering, animals (and people, if you like them - socially distanced of course) - what a great way to start your day!
Tasks may include, but are not limited to, weeding, sweeping, petting goats (optional), loading and maneuvering wheelbarrows (bring your own gardening gloves if you have them, they are very useful to have for this task and any other tasks)
Hope to see you there :)
