Five Waltham Forest Goodgymmers got in the festive spirit this evening to help Father Christmas with some essential preparations for the forthcoming holiday season.

We were greeted by the lovely Helen, who runs Walthamstow Toy Library, and is preparing for a visit from Santa who will be coming to spread some Christmas cheer among the little ones of E17 very soon. We all set to work wrapping presents for him to distribute, and with some festive background music to keep us entertained, we laughed, chatted and wrapped up all the goodies Helen had prepared for us in no time at all! There’s still more to be done, and since many hands make light work, we’d be happy to see lots more keen Goodgymmers at the Toy Library again next week.

It’s a super project, providing play, exercise and well-being services for children and adults in our community, and well worth our support.

A special shout out goes to new Goodgymmer, Helen, who completed her first mission tonight – very well done, and hope to see you again soon!
