Bucketing it down on a Sunday morning, we arrived and met Mr W, who has his hands full caring for his wife with dementia. James was as ever, suitably attired in shorts and t-shirt.

After being armed with Mr W's waterproof, plus machete and secateurs, we got started. Mr W shares his garden with his neighbours, so we set to work cutting back his rather overgrown patch and clearing the path which sets the boundary down the middle.

We finished off, rather bedraggled, with a litterpick of various wrappers that had accumulated near the bottom, before heading home to dry off and warm up!
