When life gives you metal, make magnetic moments
5 GoodGymers made their way to help the Richmond Furniture Scheme in Richmond.
- Saturday, 17th of August 2024
- Led by Adam Stephens
Five Good Gymers turned out for our monthly visit to the Richmond Furniture Scheme.
First off, we welcomed Tamas to Good Gym for his first ever task having heard about us originally a few years ago through Whole Foods in Richmond.
We were subsequently assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator Lucy the tasks of breaking up and recycling a wardrobe, sweeping the yard, which both JP and Tomas undertook with appropriate brooms, as well as removing the various weeds and litter, which was done by Adam, Chris and Rosie.
We also had the additional task of trying to find the magnetic pick up tool, which Tamas was able to attract! This was then used for picking up the excess metal.
The yard was magnetically cleared!
