On a beautiful sunny Saturday I cycled to meet Mr M and help him with some gardening. Upon arrival I realised this was more than a spot of gardening, this was hacking away at what Mr M himself described as a jungle! But having practiced my hacking skills many, many times at the regular GG Hounslow brambles task at Gunnersbury Park I felt confident about tackling the task at hand. Mr M had provided very thick gloves and secateurs, so I spent an hour hacking away. I managed to clear about half of the garden of brambles, nettles and other weeds. I tried to not hurt any of the big beautiful spiders that had made the garden their home. I spent the last half an hour getting all of the garden waste into bags. Mr M was very grateful and we had a lovely long chat and he even gave me some snacks to keep me going. A great work out and a satisfying task!
