Brrrrrrrrrrrrr, boy it was chilly but not for long. Eight awesome peeps turned up to run out to the Welling library to keep up on the awesome work to keep the whole area looking clean and tidy. After a warm up involving dynamic stretching, sprints and laughs we headed out towards Welling. Susan took the front runners off and i kept the back runners smiling and moving. The drill on the way for the faster guys was to loop back, continue running around 40 meteres passed the last runners, then pick up the pace to catch us and then keep repeating the process. After a enjoyable run and chat through the high street we arrived at our destination. Splitting into two teams we got stuck in to the task. One team out the front sweeping up and tidying the flower beds, whist team two got to work clipping the hedges, sweeping up vast amounts of leaves and rubbish.

SPLITTING INTO TWO TEAMS WE GOT STUCK INTO THE TASK

The cold was no longer an issue as we chatted, clipped, swept and picked up the rubbish to the tune of 4 large bags. I've been leading Goodgym Bexley for a year now and i'm still so impressed at how much we can get done in a short amount of time. Goodgym Bexley you are awesome.

Once all tools had been safely stowed and the posing for the photo's was complete, it was time to head back the base camp Crooklog. Well not before a little bit of exercise along the route. On arrival at Welling Football club it was into my favorite leg drill 'The Wall Sit Off'. I gotta tell you that the gang is getting really good at this now so its time for me to add in some variations for next time. After having to call it a draw between Susan and Cheryl we continued to our next prop, the low wall. Here it was down to press ups, tri-cep curls and mountain climbers. At this point no one was complaining about being cold anymore.

AT THIS POINT NO ONE WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT BEING COLD ANYMORE

So now all toasty we ran the last leg back to base. Booom!!! another great run, workout, and task done. Go team Bexley!!!!!!!!

See you all next week.........
