Gardening for Mr J something that I do quite often; today’s mission was weeding his front garden when it was 31°C in the shade, alas dear reader, there was no shade. It’s been successfully transformed from an area full of green alkanet, brambles, an invasive lemon balm plus lots of annual weeds into an area full of bright colours. Mr J’s eyesight isn’t great now, so he needs some help with the weeding. He is very proud of it and positive comments from a couple of passers by who stopped to chat as I passed by brought an enormous smile to his face.
