Mission

Weeding on the apples and pears!

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

Me and my Mission mate, the very patient Beth, got stuck into some weeding for Mr and Mrs Z this Saturday morning.

Mr and Mrs Z were great hosts and plied us with tools and offers of water, tea, sitting down, biscuits, tours of their garden and family introductions. We were even named honourary daughters for the day.

The task was on the front steps of the garden where we helped weed the verges. The front garden now looks as smart as the back where, before he became unwell, Mr Z had planted lemon, orange and olive trees making it a little patch of paradise in Southwark.
