Weeding is Fun! 😊

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.

We arrived at Mrs. M introduced ourselves, and asked what she would like us to do in her garden. Pulling up the weeds in her front garden, Mrs. M joined us in the garden if only to make sure we didn't pull out any of her flowers; we tackled a creeper which had taken over most of a flower bed. She said if we pulled up any flowers we'd be fired.
Mrs. M wanted to help us as she loved gardening, but is now unable to; Mridula suggested she tell us stories, which she did. Telling us what it was like during the war, and how much the area has changed. What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. An hour and forty minutes later the garden looked much better.
