We nearly ran out of thyme......

Wow what gorgeous weather for Goodgym Bexley last night. The sun always brings out bigger smiles. Tonight we were running out the help Danson Youth Centre get their herb garden in use again. Meeting at our usual place, Crooklog sports centre, I was greeted by two new faces. A big hi 5 to Hannah and Liz from the Goodgym Bexley crew. It was great meeting you last night and I hope you both loved the run, fun and task that we done. Big shout out the Tanya, **Susan and Sarah who ran the Woodland race over the weekend and added a medal to their growing collections. Once we had warmed up, which didn't take long as it was rather warm, we headed out on a 2K run to the the youth centre where we were greeted by Ben, who as always was pleased to see us. Like a well oiled machine, jobs were allocated, tools were issued and we set about taking the herb garden back from the growth. As we pulled through the weeds, cut through the grass, turned over the soil, the smell of the different herbs sprung to life and we started to talk about different drinks and meals that we could add the herbs too. The discussions turned into quite a cookery class. With everything done that needed doing, we finished bang on our 40 mins allotted time. Taking a few minutes to appreciate the transformation, it would have been rude not to use the green area for our fitness session. Tonight we worked on the legs, butt and core. I always try to add fun to exercise, but don't let this fool you into thinking you're not working hard. I bet when the Bexley Goodgymers woke up this morning they didn't think they would be sack racing that evening 😂. With the task (tick), the fitness session (tick) done, we just had enough time to show our fellow Goodgym visitor Alex our local sit off tunnel. I hope you appreciated the love Alex 😂............ With the sun starting to fade, it was time to head back to base camp Crooklog. Well, what a brilliant evening. You guys absolutely smashed it. With high fives all round, and the promise to do it all again next week, we went our separate ways with massive smiles.
