The Christmas period is going to be awkward volunteering. We all have some form of family commitments . We need to work out how to cover their needs and balance it with our family needs. We thought and a solution covering each one of my ladies was agreed on.

I delivered one final shop before Christmas for one lady and we’ve agreed on a mini shop to top her up for the other one. Christmas Cards where swapped and kind words.

The thing that had me tearing up in the car was that they called me a hero. Honestly I don’t see it that way. The ladies have been trapped in their homes because of their conditions now for nearly a year. They will both be spending Christmas on their own and are bearing it with such grace and humour. I think they are the heroes.
