Chrissie and Bryanne made their way this morning to Mrs T's house, with Bryanne running and Chrissie cycling. Mrs T welcomed them both in with a smile and soon explained how she was happy to have some company, as it can get quite lonely for her living on her own.

Mrs T showed them both where the light was that needed the bulb changing - it was in the outside sheltered porch at the back of the house. Having the light working again would help light up the back of the house, particularly as one of the kitchen lights is currently not working, and help improve what she is able to see, as Mrs T is visually impaired.

Without hesitation Chrissie had the screwdriver in hand and carefully unscrewed what was needed to open the light unit to gain access to the bulb. After a quick lightbulb change, Bryanne was keen to flick the switch, but much to everyone's disappointment the light was still not working. Mrs T showed other bulbs she had in the house, but unfortunately they did not have the correct fitting. Wanting to complete the task they set out to do, Chrissie and Bryanne made a quick dash to a local shop and found a bulb with the appropriate fitting. Upon their return Chrissie was straight up the ladder again to swap the bulbs whilst Bryanne gave some much deserved attention to Mrs T. With the new lightbulb in, Chrissie flicked the switch, but still there was no light...

It was agreed by all that this would require someone with a little more expertise to check the wiring to make sure there is not a break somewhere in the circuit, but Mrs T was still very thankful for the efforts made and the company she received. Whilst there Mrs T asked Chrissie and Bryanne to check the batteries were working in her doorbells, which they were more than happy to help with.

Mrs T then talked in a bit more detail about how isolated she feels at times, but was delighted when Chrissie told her about Goodgym's Coach Runs. Whilst the light was unable to be fixed at this time, the prospect of helping to create a new coach run pairing through Goodgym was the positive that can be taken away from the mission run.
