A beautiful crisp day for a walk up to my “coach” JJ. Passing the local church and duck pond it occurred to me that this view hadn’t changed for more than a century. It didn’t feel particularly cold out but when I arrived I was struck by the sudden heat of the house. As with most older people JJ likes the home extra warm. Spotting the thermostat it seems to be some sort of smart gadget I expect JJ’s Sons look after the tech side of things. During our chat my phone pinged and JJ was astounded when I read the message on my watch and then told her all the other features it has…including telling the time 😁 Telling her I also had a music player that I could use swimming nearly blew JJ’s mind. So much has changed in their lifetime yet some of the views on the walk up there still very much the same.
