Voice of an Angel

Last night, all of Santa s helpers went home and left Ealing Soup Kitchen looking like winter wonderland. Early morning Friday and one of the Ealing Goodgym snowmies Steph came back for the ESK Xmas Party. Jo was normally joining the early shift, but was feeling poorly : she must have met Frosty the snowman ⛄️ the previous days. She was missed today. Steph met the other volunteers and he was helping Stephen with the deliveries. Then went to his new job : sound engineer 🙄. Last night set up the amplifier with the mics for Sonna who was going to sing at 1130. Angela gave Steph the task to setup the keyboard and drums that they borrowed from the church. All setup and tested with Sonna who then sang to the crowd....what a voice. Voice of an angel 😇. The party started with singing from Sonna, then a choir and other singers. Baby it was cold outside, but Santa was coming to town. Everyone was rockin around the Christmas tree. Lunch was served and it was super busy. Lentil soup on the menu followed by a traditional Xmas dish : turkey with all its trimmings, gravy and Yorkshire puddings. Cake with custard 🍮 to finish the meal. Customers were full and Santa had dropped their gifts at the Friday Hub
